New Year's Eve

To commemorate the end of a wonderful 2008 and the beginning of a fabulous 2009, we hosted a "mini party" with Matt, Sarah, Paige, Kyla, my friend, Lena, and her family and my friend, Ashlie, and her family. There were 16 of us altogether and we had a great time!! Here are some of the highlights:

Crab legs!


We ate crab legs (among LOTS of other yummy stuff). We also had lobster tails. Everything was delicious and we had lots of left-overs!

Cousins!


Caleb got to spend some time with his friends and his cousins, which he loves to do. The girls even taught him a little dance where he crosses his arms and acts really cool. He was having a great time hanging out with the "big kids". :)

Guitar Hero!





Matt brought his game over for the Wii and we all got a chance to play. Chris, Sarah and I had never tried it before so we had a go at it. Let me just say that Chris and I had so much fun that we went out and bought that game the next day! :)

Saying "good-bye" to the old year and "hello" to the new year!
It's a tradition for Sarah to open the door and wave out the old year and welcome the new one. The kids loved it!


Midnight! Lena and Ashlie's families left around 9:30pm and the rest of us were determined to stay up until midnight. This included Caleb who hadn't had a nap at all during the day and he was fading fast! We're happy to say that he made it until midnight and got to drink his "kiddie champagne" with the rest of us. He even got to do "cheers" with Daddy!
