A Day-Date

Today is a big day in our house. Caleb's new twin-size bed is being delivered this afternoon and his bedding arrived via UPS yesterday. When Caleb was two, we made his "big boy" room with a Thomas the Tank Engine theme, complete with a Thomas-shaped toddler bed. Now, at the age of four, he is getting too big for the toddler bed, so it's time to re-do the room again. We're going with a space theme this time, so I'll post pictures when the room is painted and decorated. It might be a couple of days because a mural that we ordered won't arrive until the beginning of next week. (No real new furniture in his room yet besides the bed, but we'll get that in a couple months when we find a good deal.)

So, because of the painting that Chris is going to do later today, he decided to work from home today. That was nice for me because he came with for preschool drop-off (both kids are there now) and we got to have a little day-date. It was so very romantic: we went to a bagel shop for breakfast and then got our flu shots!! You know you're getting older when you do practical stuff on your dates with your spouse!! :)
