On Wednesday night, my mom had planned a "Night Out" for my siblings and I. The back-story is that ever since I was little, my mom has planned nights before Christmas that we call "Nights Out". Each of my 3 siblings and I got a "Night Out" where the event was a complete surprise. We would also get one of our Christmas gifts that night, too. As we have gotten older, it has been harder and harder to get us all together so instead of doing 4 nights, we started doing a "Guys' Night" and a "Girls' Night". Now that we have kids (and there will be even more grand kids in the future), it has gotten EVEN HARDER to plan two nights like this, so my mom has planned only one a year for all of us combined. "Night Out 2008" was on Wednesday and it was going to be pretty low-key, or so we thought. Everyone came over to our house and we ordered pizza. After pizza, my mom whipped out the gifts, which were extravagant and much loved, as usual. Then, my mom told us to get our coats and shoes on because someone was here to pick us up. Turns out, she rented a limousine to take me, Chris, and my siblings (Stef, you're a sibling now!) driving around for 2 hours in St. Paul, looking at Christmas lights. It was really fun and so nice to sit and chat with my brothers and sister for awhile. (Especially since Torie leaves tomorrow morning for Texas again! Sob!!)
Here is a picture that the driver took of us at a house in South St. Paul. The owner of the house is Santa and he said that it took him "a couple of weeks" to set up all of the amazing lights outside of his home.

(If you can't tell, I wasn't exactly expecting to leave the house that night. My hair was awful and I was not wearing a stitch of make-up so do pardon the crazy face!!) :)
