Here is Hannah hanging out with Dad near the front of the boat:

Sarah, before she got sick---this was the best of the 4 pictures I took all day!

So, we were on the water for just over an hour and as we were coming in, the guys thought something might be wrong with the boat motor. They decided to stay on shore with us and not head back out to fish, which is what I thought they would want to do. We had some lunch on shore while we waited for the other boat to finish their fishing (they didn't catch much) and then we all headed back to my in-laws' house. Of course, our adventure couldn't stop there! As we were driving, and just as the kids were about to fall asleep for their afternoon naps, I smelled something weird in the car. Yep, you guessed it: poopy diaper. We called the caravan to let them know that we had to stop at a gas station to change Hannah and that they were welcome to continue on to my in-laws' house if they didn't want to wait. Chris' dad said that they would stop with us just to be safe. At first, I thought "Oh, they really don't have to wait for us" but a little while later, I was glad that they did! After we stopped to change Hannah, we blew a tire on our boat trailer. We really wouldn't have been able to fix it if my father-in-law wasn't behind us---all the tools and the spare tire were in his truck! Whew! It was a pretty quick fix, thanks to all the helping hands, and we made it back without any more interruptions.
Finally, back at my in-laws' house, we had a delicious fish-fry for dinner. (Not of fish that we caught, since we didn't catch anything significant. All the walleye we ate for dinner was caught on a previous fishing trip.) It was a fun but exhausting day and we were all ready for bed when we got home. We can't wait for the next "fishing adventure" and hopefully we can make time for it soon. :)
