Another New Pool

Okay, so my idea to of the family-sized blow-up pool for the backyard was a hit with Caleb...but too big for Hannah. I knew it...it was just wishful thinking on my part. Anyways, realizing that Hannah also wants some precious summer pool time, I bought a second blow-up pool. This one is smaller, with a blow-up slide that looks like a whale, and it's way more age-appropriate. Yesterday, Chris thought it would be a good idea to set it up since Caleb was begging him to do so. It was about 75 degrees outside, partly cloudy, with a breeze, but Caleb and Hannah were gung-ho on enjoying their new pool. I, of course, was inside the house boiling pot after pot of water to pour in the cold pool to warm it up just a little bit. (Since the sun refused to do it for us!)

Caleb helping Hannah into the pool when she first came outside:

Caleb: "Ahhh....the pool to myself!"

Hannah as really been loving slides lately. She can climb up and down the one in our yard by herself now (on the play-structure). So, when she realized that there was a water slide on the pool, she went up and down a gazillion times!

Hopefully it warms up this week so we can use the pool more. Although, even though the kids were visibly shivering when the breeze blew on their wet skin, they would have stayed out there all day if we would have let them! :)

Heck, the pool looks like so much fun that I even want a turn down the slide! Where were toys like this when we were little?
