We bundled up because it was really chilly that day. The wind was fierce on our faces! Here's my cute little family in search of the perfect tree:
Caleb was stuck to Chris like glue as we were walking around because he couldn't wait for him to cut down the tree. Hannah, however, couldn't have cared less about the tree-hunting. She was too busy picking up snow balls and eating the snow, too!!
We ended up finding the most beautiful and fragrant tree, and ironically, we didn't even need to cut it down! The tree farm that we go to has a lot of baby trees that need to grow right now. All of their bigger trees were too big for our house. Luckily, the owners of the tree farm knew that it would be hard to find specific sizes of trees this year, so for the first time, they had a bunch of 7 and 8 foot trees pre-cut for customers. We ended up finding the perfect one already cut. (After scouring the farm by foot, that is. It's all about the experience!) Here is us standing in front of our tree:

Caleb was the most excited to set up the tree when we got home. The rest of us wanted to wait for a little bit, but Caleb was really pushing us to get it done. After we put the tree in the stand and got it all situated, we had to leave for our second Thanksgiving dinner (at my parents' house). We were too tired to decorate when we got home that evening, so Caleb had to be patient and wait until Saturday morning to finish the project. We ended up decorating the tree while still wearing our jammies that morning, and it was so fun to see the excitement on the kids' faces as they each hung their ornaments on tree. Here's the finished product:
