Crackers

I've mentioned before that Connor has quite an opinion about what he wants and what specifically he's asking for.  He often says a word that we don't understand, then have to say "this?  this?  this?" to figure out what he's saying.  For the past couple of days, Connor would ask for "cracker".  So, I would offer him some crackers.  The problem was, when I offered him said cracker, he would always refuse it.

Cheez Its?  "No".
Graham Cracker?  "No."
Saltines?  "No."
Ritz?  "No."

Every cracker we possibly had in the kitchen was not the cracker Connor was wanting.  This situation was happening about three times a day.

Finally, this morning, Connor once again asked for a "cracker".  In frustration, after pulling out several boxes of crackers and trying to figure out what kind he actually wanted, I decided to be silly.  I pulled out a box of brightly colored Pop Tarts and said, "This?"  Connor's face lit up and he got the biggest smile on his face.  "CRACKER!!!!" he shouted.

I guess I cracked the code.
