Thursdays Downtown

As I mentioned in a previous post, we've been trying to start a summer tradition of going downtown every Thursday to visit Chris at work, have lunch with him, and hit the Minneapolis Farmer's Market for some fresh produce. This past Thursday was the first day we tried it, and we had so much fun! It was a little drizzly outside, so we got a little damp as we strolled down Nicollet Mall, but it was very worth it in the end.

Caleb and Hannah are becoming pros at the skyway system. Here's Caleb pointing out a few buildings to Hannah when we stopped for a little break from our walking around:

We passed a Joe Mauer statue on the street. Caleb had the clever thought to sit next to it and pretend to be a statue himself!

Of course, we had to also stop by a candy store in the skyway because pregnant Mommy was craving a specific kind of candy. We let each of the kids pick out something for themselves. Caleb picked out gumballs, and Hannah pick this very pink lollipop. She ate the WHOLE THING over the course of the afternoon (yes, I let her). I didn't notice until after I took this picture that her shirt coincidentally says "Sticky Fingers". How fitting!
