T-Ball 2011

On Wednesday, Caleb had his first t-ball game. The whole family was there and Grandma and Grandpa even came to watch, too!! Caleb got to bat three times and he played short-stop for two innings. (They rotate the kids so he had to sit on the bench for one inning.) LUCKILY, there are only three innings in this t-ball because I don't think anyone could have handled much more. We all had a lot of fun but considering they let EVERY child on each team bat and run all the bases during each inning, the games can seem a bit long. We did have a great time giggling at all the players as they played in the dirt instead of watched the ball, or, my personal favorite: when none of the kids would answer to their names being called when they were up to bat. I felt kind of bad for the mom who was calling the names, then had to go to each child one-by-one to ask them if they were the child she was looking for. (The child she was looking for was sitting right there on the bench staring at her the whole time.) SO cute but probably a bit frustrating for her. At least we can see that these kids are learning some important life skills here plus have so much fun, which makes the whole experience worth it!! :)
