* Connor's dinosaur roar and the look he makes while roaring. Hard to describe so....
* Some of you are going to hate me for this, but I love shopping for school supplies!! Target and Walmart are just putting their supplies out so this is when I really keep an eye on the sales. I also just found Caleb's supply list online so I know just what he needs. It's like a treasure hunt and it really bring the "couponer" out in me. My kids aren't always thrilled with all the running around but I am thrilled when I buy Caleb's supplies for 19 cents or even 1 penny (which is a big sale at an office supply store later in the summer). It's totally worth it and it doesn't break the bank, which is always nice!
* On the opposite side of school supplies, I am LOVING all the sleep the kids and I are getting this summer. It's like a switch went off in the kids' brains and they just know to sleep past their normal school-year wake-up time. Connor even slept until 9:45 am last week and then until 9:00 am a few days later. Sometimes they wake up at 7:30 but even that is sleeping in compared to when we need to wake up for school. It's bliss, I tell you. Pure bliss.
* Chris' cooking is a new favorite. I still love to try all of my recipes (although you wouldn't know it from my lack of posts on the other blog!). However, it's nice to have Chris be excited about making dinner a couple nights a week. He wants to experiment with different marinades and ways to grill things now that he has so many options with his new grill. It's always fun to see what he comes up with and it's nice to let him do all the work in the cooking department for a change. :)
* Caleb's witty banter is definitely a favorite of mine these days. If you're on Facebook, I'm sure you've read about many of the things he's said. If not, I'll fill you in on some of his comments from the past couple of days:
--- Me: "What kind of shoes should we buy for school this year?"
Caleb: "The kind that do math for you."
--- Caleb: "Promise me that if I ever have to get my arm cut off, that you'll have it replaced with a machine gun."
(For the record, I only promised that I would ask the doctor if it could be done.)
Those are just a few of my favorite things at the moment. The list could go on and on but I'm sure you've got better things to do! :)
