New Words

Once upon a time, when Chris and I first started dating, I accidentally made up a word and Chris hasn't let me forget about my blunder.  I was trying to say "competitive" (in the context of talking about a softball game) and I accidentally said "competitious".  Turns out, I might have passed the "just make up a word when you forget the real one" gene to my kids.  Here's an example:

Me: "It's a mode of transportation."
Caleb: "Well, what does is transportate?"

Me: "Hannah, will you be my messenger?"
Hannah: "Sure, but what do I need to messenge?"

I kind of like these words and with the crazy "rules" of our English language, you would have thought their new words were correct.  Good job, kids!  :)
