I should tell you that one reason why these open gymnastics times are so cool for the kids is because the WHOLE gym is open for them to run around. The foam pit (a huge hole in the floor filled with foam block to cushion your plunge), all the trampolines, the beams....everything. Of course, my main goal is to make sure none of my children break their necks, which is why I told Caleb "absolutely not!" when he excitedly shouted, "Mom!! I can do back-flips into the foam pit! Watch!" *sigh*
I didn't bring my regular camera, so here's a blurry one of Caleb on a high-beam:
Hannah's favorite two activities this morning were walking around hula-dancing to the music that was playing and spending as much time as she could on the low rings...
I couldn't get a clear picture of Connor because, as you can imagine, he was all go-go-go. One of the owners made a comment about how cute Connor was when he first walked into the gym and stepped on a squishy mat. He made a face like, "Whoa...what IS this? Wait, this is AWESOME!" He also thinks he can jump, even though his feet never leave the ground. It's so cute and it was fun to watch him think he was jumping on the trampoline like a big kid. (No, I did NOT let him go in the foam pit. I'd never get him out!)
What a great way for the kids to burn some energy!! :)
